Vendor Feature at HarborMarket

If you’ve heard people at the market talking about Arepas but still haven’t given them a try, don’t miss this popular Venezuelan dish. Anytime Arepa offers the option of creating your own arepa experience – by select your filling, toppings, and sauce – to build your own arepa. Anytime Arepa just opened this spring and the family-owned and operated business is at the Winter HarborMarket every Saturday!

Arepas start with a grilled “pocket” made from white or yellow corn (which is naturally gluten free!).  Pockets have a crunchy exterior and a soft center. Fillings are also all gluten-free and include shredded beef, baked pork, and shredded chicken. All the fillings are seasoned with traditionally Venezuelan “sofrito” which is a mix of onions, red pepper, garlic and some fresh herbs. Black beans, fried plantains, and a variety of cheeses can be added as toppings. Lastly, a fresh Avocado or Garlic salsa are great for drizzling or dunking! A popular style area is the Queen – which is similar to a chicken salad.

Grab at seat and enjoy your arepa at the market, or take it home with you to eat later. Anytime Arepa also offers catering services – so stop by this vendor’s booth to learn more and have your first arepa experience.
